THE 20th GRAMPIAN GP DIABETES SCHOLARSHIP COURSE (2018)
The Postgraduate Department of General Practice Education and NHS Grampian Diabetes Managed Clinical Network are once again pleased to offer up to nine places on a scholarship course in diabetes care, comprising a series of workshops, shadowing attachments, personal learning and project work over a 9-month period.

Lecturers
Description
The workshops and clinical attachments will consist of a mix of whole-day or half-day activities totalling 13 half days. The costs of delivering the course will be met by Diabetes Service Endowments Funds. In addition, participants will be offered a bursary of £600 from accrued course funds, to contribute towards the costs of time out of practice etc. Workshops will be held in Aberdeen on occasional Fridays from February to June and projects will be presented within the group on a Friday in October or November. The course will commence with a full day introductory session on Friday 26th January.
GPs are invited to apply by e-mail or in writing to the address below, including 300 words on how the applicant would see the scholarship improving patient care within her/his own practice/area of work by Mon 27th November. Applicants will
be informed of the outcome in early December.
