Hand Assessment and Injections
We are pleased to announce an orthopaedic training afternoon
for PLT on 22/3/17 at Pittodrie Stadium, Aberdeen. We will
discuss assessment of common hand conditions and review
hand injection techniques used in primary care.
This will include consultant lead teaching, organised by the
Orthopaedic Department, NHS Grampian.
What can you expect?
Soup and sandwich lunch 1-2pm, Sir Alex Ferguson Suite,
Pittodrie Stadium.
After lunch we will break into groups for a discussion and
introduction to the practicalities of techniques involved in
treating:
• Trigger finger
• Thumb arthritis
• de Quervain’s tenosynovitis
• Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
We will conclude the afternoon with group questions and
answers.
We will look to follow up this event with the opportunity for
participants to attend clinics and further develop practical
skills. This event has 30 spaces, has no charge and is open to all
clinicians in NHS Grampian.
